When is it time to
seek help through counseling?
When just getting up in the morning
is a chore.
When you find yourself avoiding
friends or family.
When you can't remember the last time
you laughed.
When you promise that you'll quit
(whatever) tomorrow.
And tomorrow never comes.
When no one believes your promises
anymore (not even you).
When it seems there is no hope
left.
When you feel like your life is out
of control.
When you feel too tired to go on
living.
When you wonder what it would be like
to feel normal.
When you wonder what it would be like
to feel anything.
When you worry night and day.
When nothing gives you comfort
anymore.
When you are so lonely you could cry.
When you're afraid that if you do cry
you will never stop.
When joy and peace seem unattainable.
When nothing takes away the pain
anymore.
When you feel trapped.
When you can see no way out.
When you can see only one way out.
